Smith-Midland Designs Double High Press Box for Local High School

Midland, Va. - Smith-Midland Corporation (OTC BB, Boston Stock Exchange: SMID, SMID) was chosen by Prince William County officials to design and provide local high schools with a double high press box facility.

Prince William County officials contacted Smith-Midland Corp. for an Easi-Set transportable precast concrete building after elevated interest and driven support from the parents and boosters at Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas, VA. The 12’x 20’x 20’ will be delivered to the school’s baseball field by July 15th.

This Easi-Set Building will serve as a concession stand, press box and storage facility. Access to the press box on the upper level, will be a deck-style stairway outside of the structure. The double high press box will be finished with the Easi-Brick design in order to color coordinate the building with existing structures.

Smith-Midland engineers designed the structure in accordance with specific requests made by the county. “To our knowledge, this is the tallest Easi-Set Building anyone has ever produced,” said Wayne Smith, Territory Manager of the Building Sales Division at Smith-Midland Corp.

Prince William County is a long-time purchaser of Smith-Midland’s Easi-Set Buildings. Prior county favorites have been Easi-Set transportable precast concrete storage buildings to secure athletic equipment at area middle and high schools.

Easi-Set Buildings use a patented post-tensioned roof system that withstands severe weather, temperature, impact and seismic conditions. Installation is generally same day, with minimal site preparation. Easi-Set Buildings are locally manufactured throughout North America and delivered directly as complete units, or field erected as necessary.

Easi-Set Buildings are vandal resistant due to the steel reinforced precast concrete construction, tamper-proof hinges, dead bolt locks and 18-guage galvanized steel insulated doors. The steel formed interiors provide maintenance free, smooth and easy to clean surfaces.

Smith-Midland Corporation develops, manufactures, licenses and distributes a broad array of precast concrete products for use primarily in the construction, transportation and utilities industries. Smith-Midland has two manufacturing facilities located in Midland, VA and Reidsville, NC. Easi-Set Industries, a wholly owned subsidiary of Smith-Midland Corporation, licenses Smith-Midland developed products throughout North America, Europe and South America. Easi-Set Industries currently has 34 precast concrete product licensees worldwide. For more information please call (540) 439-3266 or visit www.precastbuildings.com.
